6 years agoThe Oakland Athletics made a late change to their lineup Saturday scratching designated hitter Khris Davis. He was initially slated to bat cleanup versus Tigers lefty Matthew Boyd but will instead tend to his lingering hip issue that's forced him from the lineup of late. It appears as a precautionary move for the scuffling A's as they want to keep their slugger healthy for the long run. It's disappointing for fantasy owners after he seemed to be returning to form with a two-homer performance earlier this week followed by a three-hit performance on Friday.
