7 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Khris Davis is having an MRI done to check the extent of the right groin strain he sustained playing against the Blue Jays on Sunday, according to Jane Lee of MLB.com. Manager Bob Melvin understands how prolific a hitter Davis is for the lineup and would prefer to carry him on the roster if it meant having him back sooner rather than later. Melvin also stated, “He’s on the roster today. We’ll see what the results are.” The Athletics are anticipating getting information on his MRI following Tuesday’s game against the Mariners.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
