5 years agoOakland Athletics designated hitter Khris Davis is dealing with a minor calf issue and won't play in Spring Training games until Tuesday. Reports indicate Davis is fine, and it may be better for Davis to ease into the spring anyway, but any injury news is concerning after a hip issue torpedoed his 2019 season. Davis started last season hot, but a hip issue in May sent him to the injured list and he never quite looked right when he came back. Davis batted .220 after famously hitting .247 four years in a row and hit only 23 homers after blasting 40-plus three straight seasons. Assuming this calf issue doesn't linger, the 32-year-old slugger is a steal at his 173 average draft position.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
