4 years agoOakland Athletics designated hitter Khris Davis went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts vs the Angels on Monday. That makes Davis 0-for-11 so far this season with five strikeouts and two walks. Davis launched 40-plus homers for three straight seasons from 2016-2018, but struggled mightily last season as his batting average plummeted to .220 with a ghastly .293 on-base percentage. Injuries were partially to blame last season, but Davis has no excuse in 2020. The A's view themselves as contenders and it's fair to wonder how long they can take what Davis has produced from the DH spot. His upside makes him worth holding onto in fantasy, but managers could keep him on the bench until he turns it around.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
