5 years agoOakland Athletics designated hitter Khris Davis (hand) did not start for the third consecutive game on Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels. He has been out of the starting lineup since being hit on the hand by a pitch in Thursday's game. Davis wanted to play Saturday, so it doesn't sound like he'll be sidelined for long, but manager Bob Melvin is being careful with the stud hitter, especially with a scheduled day off on Monday. It doesn't sound lIke Davis will be headed for the 10-day injured list, and he should be back in the lineup on Tuesday against the visiting Minnesota Twins.--Daniel Dobish
