6 years agoOakland Athletics designated hitter Khris Davis has been taking reps in the outfield on the road trip, as he prepares himself to play in left field. The A's will play three games in a National League park against the Pittsburgh Pirates starting on Friday, and manager Bob Melvin wants to keep the powerful stick of Davis in the lineup. "I don't know if it's going to be every day," Melvin said. "I know he's been working hard and taking balls in the outfield. We want him in the lineup, so that means some games in left."--Daniel Dobish
