Kike Hernandez Has Two Hits In Return To Leadoff Spot
3 years agoBoston Red Sox utility man Kike Hernandez returned to the leadoff spot Thursday and came through against the Houston Astros, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, a run, and an RBI. Hernandez has largely struggled in his first season in Boston, posting a .692 OPS with five homers and a steal, and his grasp on the leadoff role has largely loosened. It's good to see him succeed in his return to the top of the lineup, but unless he's batting first on a regular basis his fantasy value is close to nill.
