3 years agoBoston Red Sox utility man Kike Hernandez went deep off of Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Vince Velasquez to lead off the game Friday, giving him 11 home runs for the year. He went 2-for-5 for the contest with two RBI. Hernandez has been on fire over his last 15 games, with a .268/.382/.589 slash line and five home runs in that span. He seems to have locked down the leadoff spot, giving him a nice bump in value, especially in the runs category. He could make a savvy add if he's still available on waiver wires during this hot streak.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
