Kirk Cousins Agrees On Contract Extension
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has agreed to a one-year, $35 million extension. The deal is fully guaranteed, complete with a no-trade clause, meaning the veteran could conceivably suit up for the Vikings through 2023. Cousins remained one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the league during the 2021-22 campaign, finishing with 4,221 passing yards, 33 touchdowns, and only seven interceptions. Unquestionably, Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson, and Dalvin Cook may benefit by having a familiar, relatively effective signal-caller tossing them the ball. Additionally, former Rams offensive coordinator and new head coach Kevin O'Connell has been touted for his play-calling prowess, so if Cousins and company can get things in order, it could mean great things for fantasy managers.
