Kirk Cousins Tests Positive For COVID-19
2 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the team's preseason opener against the Las Vegas Raiders. Cousins will be away from the team for a minimum of five days, so he can rejoin the team at some point next week. In his absence, backup quarterbacks Sean Mannion and Kellen Mond should see the most action against the Raiders on Sunday to battle it out for QB2 duties behind Cousins. Once he returns to action, the veteran should be able to provide fantasy managers with low-end QB1 numbers in the Vikings' new pass-heavy offensive scheme. With Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and K.J. Osborn at his disposal, Cousins is a great late-round target for those who like to wait on drafting a quarterback.
