Kolby Allard Continues To Excel
7 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Kolby Allard pitched eight shutout innings for Triple-A Gwinnett Sunday. Allard only allowed two hits, one walk and eight strikeouts in the contest and now owns a sparkling 1.71 ERA in seven starts. Allard is a former first-round pick in 2015 and ranks number 54 in the top 100 prospects according to MLB.com. The left-hander offers three pitches and has strong command on all of his pitches. Allard is only 20 years of age but offers strong upside and if he continues to thrive against Triple-A hitting, the lefty may force his way into the big leagues this year.
