5 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Kolby Allard allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings and picked up his first win of the season Wednesday in Toronto. There was traffic all over the bases as Allard allowed four hits, three walks, and a hit-by-pitch, but was able to limit the damage thanks to five strikeouts. Allard pitched to a 2.72 ERA with a .340 FIP in Triple-A this season but only struck out 7.1 batters per nine innings. The lack of innings and strikeouts limit Allard's appeal in fantasy, but he does have a good matchup next Monday against an Angels team that is tied for the worst batting average against left-handed pitching.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
