Kolby Allard Throws A Quality Start On Wednesday
4 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Kolby Allard was the tough-luck loser on Wednesday against the Houston Astros. In a 2-1 loss to the in-state rival, Allard threw seven innings while giving up two earned runs, two hits, two walks, and striking out four Astros. It was the left-hander's longest outing of the season after not going more than 5 1/3 innings in any of his previous five outings. The 23-year-old came over from Atlanta last season in a deadline deal and had some prospect pedigree in his minor league background. He is worth a stash in deep dynasty leagues if he is available on waivers. Allard is only rostered in 1.7 percent of ESPN leagues.
