7 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals placed second baseman Kolten Wong (knee) on the disabled list with left knee inflammation on Monday. Starting pitcher Daniel Poncedeleon was recalled from the minors in a corresponding move. Poncedeleon will make his major league debut and start against the Reds on Monday. He's a risky but attractive streamer in deeper leagues. Greg Garcia should see most of the starts at the keystone with Wong out, but Matt Carpenter is also an option there if the team wants to get Jose Martinez back in the starting lineup every day.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
