7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong (knee) said he's likely to need offseason surgery to remove floating cartilage from his left knee. Wong just came off the disabled list on Wednesday with a hamstring injury, but he's unlikely to return to the lineup until Friday. In 110 games for the Red Birds, Wong is hitting .244/.326/.386 with eight home runs, 32 RBI and six stolen bases. He should be the everyday starter the rest of the way as long as he's healthy. His offseason knee surgery shouldn't affect his availability heading into next season. Wong has proven to mainly be an infield option in NL-only leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
