7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong has turned to yoga in hopes to improve in 2018. Manager Mike Matheny said, “I think he’s one of those guys who wants to take his game to another level.” Wong is coming off a year in which he had both ups and downs but still produced a respectable .376 on-base percentage and .412 slugging percentage, both of which were career highs. Wong has dealt with shoulder injuries over the past few seasons and credits yoga for becoming more flexible and stronger. Wong has always been a hot name going into fantasy drafts, and this may be the year it pays off. He is projected to hit between the fifth and eighth spots in the order and should be able to help across the board if he is healthy. He doesn’t make for a bad second base target in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
