Kris Bryant Back In Lineup Saturday, Batting Leadoff
4 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant has been cleared to return to the starting nine for Saturday’s contest against Milwaukee. Bryant had missed the past two games due to a left wrist/ring finger injury, but after going through pre-game warm-ups, he got the green light to reclaim his spot atop the batting order. Bryant has been slow out of the gates in 2020, slashing .196/.315/.391 in his first 12 contests, although he homered the last time that he took the field Wednesday. He will be matched up against Brewers right-hander Adrian Houser, but will have to combat a strong wind that is blowing in at Wrigley.
