4 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant is not in the club’s starting lineup for Friday’s contest versus the White Sox and right-hander Dylan Cease. Nico Hoerner will instead man the hot corner with Bryant getting a day off amidst another cold spell at the dish. With just a .301 SLG on the year, Bryant has gone homerless in each of his past 20 games, driving in just one run in that stretch. At this stage, injuries are clearly hampering Bryant’s ability to be a fantasy asset, as fantasy managers can look elsewhere for production both over the final weekend and heading into the playoffs.--Jesse Borek
