Kris Bryant Drops To Fifth Spot In Order Monday
4 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant will bat fifth Monday against Pittsburgh and right-hander JT Brubaker, the first time in 2020 that he will start below the No. 3 spot in the order. Bryant has been mired in a season-long slump, having compiled just a .588 OPS this year. He continued to hold nightly DFS upside due to his past production and spot in the lineup, but dropping down in the order will only serve to decrease his upside. For those fantasy managers that have stuck by him all year, there’s little reason to deviate over the final week. Should his bat heat up, he becomes an immensely appealing DFS play during the postseason.
