2 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant (foot) has increased his activity and is playing catch, but he's still in and out of a walking boot and has no timeline for a return to the team. At this point, it's unlikely that Bryant will return for the Rockies to close out the 2022 season. The 30-year-old slugger has been on the injured list since Aug. 1 while dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot. He's been solid when on the field in his first year in Colorado, hitting .306/.376/.475 with an .851 OPS, five home runs, 14 RBI and 28 runs scored, but he's managed to play in only 42 games. Sean Bouchard has been the Rockies' everyday left fielder of late with Bryant still sidelined. If you have other needs and are still chasing a fantasy championship, feel free to drop Bryant in single-year formats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
