4 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant has been placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Saturday’s contest against the White Sox as he combats a sprained finger on his left hand in addition to a left wrist ailment. Bryant has been out of the mix since Aug. 17 with David Bote holding down the hot corner in his stead. The Cubs’ slugger has been slow out of the gate in 2020, having slashed .177/.271/.323 across his first 16 contests. With the injuries keeping him out for at least most of next week, season-long owners in weekly formats will have to look elsewhere to replace his bat.--Jesse Borek
