4 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant is back to batting in the top third of the order for Game 1 of the wild-card series Wednesday versus Miami and right-handed pitcher Sandy Alcantara. Bryant had been shifted to the Nos. 5 and 4 slots for the final three games of the regular season, where he ended the year with home runs in his last two contests. A dismal offensive campaign by Bryant’s standards can be quelled with postseason production, which is what manager David Ross is banking upon by shifting Bryant back up to the No. 3 hole. He’s a volatile DFS selection due to his lukewarm regular-season production, even if he carries a hot bat into Game 1.--Jesse Borek
