Kris Bryant Sent To The Disabled List With Sore Shoulder
6 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant (shoulder) has been placed on the disabled list with a sore shoulder. Bryant has missed the past three games and his time on the disabled list will be retroactive to June 23. Ben Zobrist and Ian Happ will both get more at-bats with Bryant out and Tommy La Stella may also get a few starts at third base. Zobrist has quietly had a nice season for the Cubs and is worth picking up for his ability to get on base. Happ has been inconsistent of late but has power potential and will have a good opportunity to get at-bats. Bryant could return when he is first eligible. Infielder David Bote will replace Bryant on the active roster and will likely function in a bench role.
