Kris Bryant Sits For Second Straight Game
3 years agoChicago Cubs infielder/outfielder Kris Bryant (side) will miss his second consecutive game versus the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday. Bryant sat out on Tuesday with side soreness and the injury continues to linger. Bryant got off to a nice start this season, but has been in a major slump during the month of June. The upcoming free agent is hitting .261 with 15 home runs, 41 RBI and four stolen bases. Bryant remains day-to-day and will be replaced in the lineup by Eric Sogard on Wednesday. Sogard will bat seventh versus Aaron Ashby in Ashby's big league debut. Sogard has really struggled offensively and can be avoided in all formats.
