4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Kwang Hyun Kim struggled to throw strikes but got away with it in Tuesday's victory over the Miami Marlins. Kim lasted six innings, picking up a quality start by allowing just one run on three hits. He walked five guys and struck out six, throwing 102 pitches, just 49 for strikes. Kim was all over the place early and the Marlins had him on the ropes a few times in the first few innings, but were never able to do anything except push one run across in the third inning. It would be the only run the Fish would score. Kim ended up with a no-decision though, as the Cardinals would walk it off in the bottom of the ninth. Kim likely doesn't have the kind of stuff to get away with walking five batters against a better lineup, but he's still worth starting against most teams in mixed leagues.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
