4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals left-handed pitcher Kwang Hyun Kim could return to the active roster as early as Monday versus Milwaukee after a stint on the injured list due to a kidney ailment that left him hospitalized. Manager Mike Shildt made it clear that Kim would come back as a member of the starting rotation, even despite closer Giovanny Gallegos’ (groin) placement on the IL. Kim has allowed just two earned runs in 21 ⅔ frames (0.83 ERA) this season, with zero earned runs in his three most recent starts. While he won’t generate a pile of strikeouts, he holds DFS and deep season-long appeal so long as he continues to stymy opposing batters. Check back for an update on when he’ll officially make his next start.--Jesse Borek
