3 years agoFree-agent linebacker Kwon Alexander is visiting the New York Jets on Tuesday, according to a source. The 27-year-old played for Jets head coach Robert Saleh while in San Francisco, reaching the Super Bowl together during the 2019 season. Last year, Alexander played for New Orleans, recording 50 tackles (39 solo) and one interception in 12 appearances. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2017 but has battled through numerous injuries ever since. The Jets allowed the most total yards per game last year, struggling both through the air and on the ground. They also ranked 30th in turnover differential. Any fringe fantasy players facing the Jets last year, particularly at the RB position, were a near must-start due to the matchup. The team did add a few other key pieces to the defense this offseason, namely safety Jordan Whitehead from Tampa Bay and cornerback D.J. Reed from Seattle, but they still have a long way to go to avoid being a matchup to target in fantasy.--Dessy John
