6 years agoMiami Marlins closer Kyle Barraclough allowed a walk-off solo home run to Mark Reynolds in the bottom of the ninth inning on Friday, blowing the save and taking his third loss of the season. The Marlins closer still holds a sterling 1.41 ERA and a 42/19 K/BB ratio. Barraclough has been the talk of trade rumors as the deadline approaches. While one blown save won't kill his value, the Marlins aren't going to give away arguably their best reliever on the cheap. If Barraclough were traded to a contender and removed from his closing role, his value would evaporate. For now, though, he remains a solid closer whenever he gets an opportunity.--Dan Fappiano
