4 years agoRight-handed pitcher Kyle Barraclough has inked a Minor League deal with the New York Yankees that includes an invite to Major League Spring Training later in February. Barraclough has not pitched in the big leagues since 2019 when he posted a 5.61 ERA across 43 appearances split between Miami and San Francisco. Having served as the Marlins' closer as recently as the '18 season, Barraclough posted impressive Statcast metrics during his time with the club, something that the Yankees can hope to tap into as he makes his bid for joining the relief corps. Aroldis Chapman remains entrenched as the club's closer, although Barraclough could make a bid for hold chances should he deliver a strong spring performance.--Jesse Borek
