Kyle Farmer Falls A Triple Shy Of Hitting For The Cycle
3 years agoCincinnati Reds shortstop Kyle Farmer went 3-for-4 with a double, a homer, and five RBI in an 11-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday. Farmer fell just a triple shy of hitting for the cycle in the win. The veteran infielder is now hitting .215 with three doubles, four homers, 13 runs, 17 RBI, and a steal in 135 at-bats. Farmer has been operating as the team's primary shortstop since they lost Mike Moustakas to a heel injury a few weeks ago. With Moustakas likely to return to action soon, Farmer could be the odd man out if the Reds decide to shift Eugenio Suarez back to the shortstop position.
