Kyle Farmer Hits 14th Homer
3 years agoCincinnati Reds shortstop Kyle Farmer went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in a 5-4 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. Farmer went deep off of Sam Howard in the eighth inning to briefly tie the game at 4-4 before the Pirates went on to score a run in the bottom of the ninth. Farmer is putting the finishing touches on a career year, hitting .256 with 14 homers, 52 runs, 55 RBI, and two steals over 434 at-bats. He has struggled a bit of late, hitting just .214 over his past seven contests.
