2 years agoCincinnati Reds infielder Kyle Farmer isn't in the starting lineup for a matchup with the Miami Marlins and right-handed starter Sandy Alcantara on Wednesday. Farmer is batting .248 with a .322 on-base percentage, six home runs, and four stolen bases in 352 plate appearances this season. He'll head to the bench with Jose Barrero starting at shortstop instead and batting eighth. The infielder previously hit .209 with a .262 on-base percentage, nine home runs, and five stolen bases in 237 plate appearances for the Reds' Triple-A affiliate this season.
