Kyle Farmer Sitting Against Braves
2 years agoCincinnati Reds shortstop Kyle Farmer (hand) is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Atlanta Braves. Farmer left the game on Saturday early due to a hand injury, but thankfully X-rays came back negative, so he should be considered day-to-day for the time being. On the season, he's slashing .280/.345/.411 with five home runs, 39 RBI, 27 runs scored and four stolen bases in 265 plate appearances over 67 games played. With Farmer out on Sunday, Matt Reynolds is playing the 6 and hitting eighth against Braves right-hander Charlie Morton. Reynolds isn't very attractive for daily lineups. He's hitting .245 on the year with three home runs and 14 RBI in 51 games, but he's also just 1-for-13 with an RBI and six strikeouts in seven games over the last two weeks.
