Kyle Finnegan Notches Five-Out Save
3 years agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Kyle Finnegan returned to the mound for the first time since September 8 Sunday, and he capitalized on being well-rested by locking down a five-out save without allowing a baserunner. He struck out one batter, and now has nine saves on the season. Since the All-Star break, Finnegan has maintained a 1.44 ERA, a 1.16 WHIP, and 21 strikeouts in 25 innings while saving nine of his 10 opportunities. Facing exactly zero competition from anyone else in the bullpen, he's an underrated fantasy closer.
