4 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland (shoulder) and second baseman Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) could return to the team by the end of the month, according to Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post. Working his way back from a shoulder strain suffered during Spring Training, Freeland is scheduled to make rehab starts on Saturday and next Thursday, and he could potentially rejoin the Rockies after that second outing with Triple-A Albuquerque. Rodgers — who has been sidelined with a hamstring strain since the middle of March —is not as close to a return to Colorado, but he is ready to test his hamstring in game action, as he is scheduled to start at second base on Friday for his first rehab appearance. There's no timetable for Rodgers' return just yet, but it seems like Colorado could soon see both Freeland and Rodgers back on the active roster.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
