3 years agoColorado Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland was demolished on Friday when he surrendered nine runs (eight earned) on eight hits with one walk and two strikeouts over four innings in an 11-5 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. The ball was flying in the launching pad known as Great American Ball Park on Friday as Freeland served up not one, not two, but five home runs to the Reds. He allowed a home run in the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth innings. The Rockies wanted to spare their bullpen with Friday being the first game of the series so the southpaw was hung out to dry despite not having his best stuff. It's been a brutal start to Freeland's season since being activated from the IL in late May. He's got a 9.00 ERA, 2.12 WHIP, and 9:9 K/BB ratio over 17 innings (four starts). He's not worthy of fantasy consideration even in the deepest of NL-only leagues.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
