3 years agoColorado Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland took a no-decision on Wednesday when he surrendered five runs on a whopping nine hits with two walks and three strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings in an 8-7 win over the San Diego Padres. This is becoming an ugly trend for Freeland, who still hasn't found his rhythm through five starts this year. The Padres heavy hitters did their damage against him on Wednesday, as Fernando Tatis Jr. and Trent Grisham both homered off of him in the third inning. Tatis and Manny Machado hit back-to-back RBI doubles in the fourth inning, and Freeland's day was done. The 28-year-old now owns a hideous 9.58 ERA, 2.27 WHIP and 12:11 K:BB over 20 2/3 innings (five starts). He has a fairly easy matchup against the Mariners on the road in his next start, but he's still impossible to trust for fantasy purposes right now.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
