Kyle Freeland Limits The Giants In Win
3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland earned the win on Saturday when he surrendered one run on five hits with two walks and six strikeouts in a 4-1 win over the Giants. Freeland was in control in this one, limiting the pesky Giants offense over his six innings of work. Donovan Solano singled in a run in the bottom of the second but that was the only real damage caused. Freeland has looked much better over the last month after getting off to a rocky start this season. He's recorded a quality start in 6-of-8 games and now owns a 4.40 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, and 63:22 K/BB ratio over 77 2/3 innings. He'll get the Diamondbacks at home in his next turn and should be in play as a streamer in that one.
