7 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitching prospect Kyle Funkhouser allowed five walks on Saturday. On the bright side, the right-hander only allowed two hits, one run and struck out seven batters.Funkhouser has made two starts for Double-A Erie, but has only thrown a combined 7 1/3 innings and allowed six walks. Funkhouser has improved his strikeout rate and has three pitches that are developed at the moment. The Tigers have been careful as to how they have treated Funkhouser and he figures to be a few years away from making any potential impact for fantasy owners.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
