Kyle Garlick Not Playing Against Blue Jays
2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Kyle Garlick (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Garlick went 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBI on Friday night against Toronto, but he also left the game early with a mild left hamstring strain and won't play on Saturday. After his two-homer game, the 30-year-old is now slashing .250/.324/.567 with an .890 OPS, six home runs, 14 RBI and 11 runs scored in 68 plate appearances over 28 games for Minnesota. With Garlick out on Saturday, Nick Gordon is in left field and is batting sixth, while Mark Contreras starts in center field while hitting seventh against Jays right-hander Jose Berrios.
