Kyle Gibson Allows Four Runs To Cubs In Loss
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Kyle Gibson allowed four runs across five innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Cubs. He collected seven strikeouts to salvage some fantasy value, but it was another rough start for Gibson. The veteran right-hander has now allowed 15 runs in his last three starts, spanning just 15 innings. His 3.49 ERA looks good on the surface, but a 4.24 xFIP implies he's been a tad lucky and fantasy managers should expect a higher ERA moving forward. This combined with a strikeout rate under 20% makes Gibson a risky start in fantasy on Sunday night against the Mets.
