Kyle Gibson Chased In Fourth Inning
5 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Kyle Gibson couldn't make it out of the fourth inning in a 5-3 win over the Cleveland Indians on Friday. Gibson allowed three runs (one earned) on five hits in 3 2/3 innings of work while striking out five and walking one. The veteran right-hander wasn't at his sharpest as he threw just 46 of his 80 pitches for strikes. He wound up taking a no-decision as his offense scored three runs in the eighth inning to complete the comeback win. Gibson has been up-and-down this season, posting an 8-4 record, 4.03 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 99 strikeouts in 98 1/3 innings of work. He will hope for better results against the Oakland A's in his next start.
