Kyle Gibson Pitches Eight Shutout Innings In Win
4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Kyle Gibson had his best game of the season during the club's 10-inning, 1-0 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. The veteran right-hander allowed just four hits and did not issue a walk in eight innings of work. He struck out six batters and induced 10 ground-ball outs. Gibson lowered his ERA to 2.53 and he has an 18-6 K-BB ratio through 21.2 innings. He's looking to rebound from a poor 2020 season that saw him post a 5.35 ERA with 73 hits allowed in 67.1 innings. Gibson has a history of providing innings but he's not a huge strikeout pitcher, which limits his fantasy appeal.
