Kyle Gibson Throws Five Decent Innings On Wednesday
5 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Kyle Gibson took a no-decision in a 6-5 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday. Gibson allowed three runs on eight hits over five innings while striking out three and walking three. It wasn't a great start by Gibson, although when he departed following the fifth he was in line for the win. Reliever Sergio Romo came on, blew the save, and made sure Gibson would not pick up his 12th win. Gibson now has an 11-5 record, 4.28 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 129 strikeouts in 132 1/3 innings of work this year. He will look for win No. 12 on Monday against the Chicago White Sox.
