Kyle Hendricks Continues Rocky Start To Season
4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks put together another dud of a performance on Wednesday versus the Atlanta Braves. Hendricks went 3 2/3 innings and allowed 11 hits, seven runs, zero walks and struck out three on the evening. Hendricks once again got hurt by the home run ball. Hendricks only allowed 10 home runs in 81 1/3 innings in 2020, but has already given up 10 home runs in 22 2/3 innings. The veteran has put together a career of consistency with good command, but that has been sloppy this season. He now owns a 1-3 record with a 7.54 ERA. Hendricks should remain rostered, but only started in favorable matchups until he can string some starts together. Hendricks should be avoided against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday.
