Kyle Hendricks Focused On 2023 Season
2 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks (shoulder) said that he'll head to Arizona after the team's current homestand with the goal of resuming a throwing program. However, the veteran hurler said his focus is on getting right for the 2023 season while having a full offseason. With the Cubs well out of contention, Hendricks' priority isn't to return to close out the 2022 campaign, so fantasy managers can likely let him go in single-year formats. The 32-year-old right-hander has had a tough year, too, going 4-6 with a 4.80 ERA (4.83 FIP), a 1.29 WHIP and a 66:24 K:BB in 84 1/3 innings over his 16 starts for Chicago.
