4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks bounced back in a big way in Sunday's victory versus the Detroit Tigers. Hendricks was crushed for six runs in his last outing versus the Pittsburgh Pirates, but pulled a 180 in Sunday's performance. Hendricks went eight innings and was pulled in the bottom of the ninth inning after allowing back-to-back singles with no outs. Hendricks would finish with a final line of eight hits, one run, no walks and eight strikeouts. The veteran has been frustrating to roster this season, but has a good enough track record for managers to remain confident in the veteran. Hendricks will look to build off of his success versus the Cardinals on Friday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
