Kyle Hendricks Leaves Early With Shoulder Soreness
2 years agoChicago Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks (shoulder) left his start early on Tuesday against the Milwaukee Brewers due to right shoulder soreness. Hendricks made it through only three frames, allowing two earned runs on two hits (one home run) while walking two and striking out four. It remains to be seen if the 32-year-old veteran will have to miss a turn in the rotation or go on the injured list, but it's worth noting that he dealt with some minor shoulder fatigue in early June. Entering the day on Tuesday, Hendricks had been disappointing for fantasy managers, posting a 4.76 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with a weak 18.1% strikeout rate and 22 walks in 81 1/3 innings over 15 starts. The Cubs are likely to send him for tests on Wednesday, so check back on more information on the severity of his shoulder ailment.
