5 years agoWith the wind blowing in at Wrigley, Kyle Hendricks led the Cubs to their fifth straight win on Thursday, defeating the Giants 1-0. Hendricks went seven innings, allowing only three hits, striking out seven, and walking none. Hendricks has now given up only one run in his past two starts, following a seven-run disaster against the Reds on August 10, and has been quietly fantastic since the beginning of July, allowing more than two runs only twice in the ten starts since. Hendricks has been a near top-100 overall player on the season and should continue to be so on a surging Chicago team.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
