Kyle Hendricks' MRI Shows No Structural Damage
2 years agoChicago Cubs pitcher Kyle Hendricks (shoulder) underwent an MRI on Thursday, which revealed no structural damage. According to Cubs manager David Ross, he won't need shoulder surgery, but there is no timetable for a return from a right shoulder strain. The Cubs will have an update on Hendricks after their weekend series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Drew Smyly (oblique) and Marcus Stroman (shoulder) are expected to be activated this weekend to replace Hendricks in the rotation. Hendricks has struggled this season, posting a 4.80 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and a 66:24 K: BB across 84 1/3 innings. Fantasy managers can move on from Hendricks in most league formats.
